One of my favorite things about fall is wearing sweatpants and drinking a hot mug of creamer with a little coffee :) This fall I have received a special gift......being able to see Lillian explore and fall in love with Fall too! She loves all the leaves on the ground and tries to collect as many as she can in her hands. Lillian likes to line the leaves up and feel their textures. Our plans for tomorrow are to rake up some leaves and let her jump in them! Tonight I am teacher her how to drink "coffee"- No, I am not actually giving my 2 year old coffee but she is having milk in a coffee mug while I have some coffee in my coffee mug. She was so excited to trade out her sippy cup for a coffee mug! There was only one small problem.....Lillian can easily put her sippy cup on top of the kitchen counters because they have lids and she has tippy toes! Tonight she attempted to put her coffee mug on the counter and I turned around to see her poor milk straight down on her head and all over her face! She freaked out! Lillian did know if she should cry or scream- it was ice cold milk. She decided to do both.....and I being the loving caring mom that I am......Laughed! I did also wipe her face and hair and comfort her- but it was pretty hilarious! Poor thing. Another thing I like about fall is I feel the need to do "fall cleaning" so that's on the to-do list for this week as well :)
Sophie ( our 3 year old Husky) has also enjoyed all the leaves!
Happy Fall everyone!
These are random "looks" into my amazing, beautiful, and crazy life!

Full plate!
Somehow summer is gone and fall is here. I'm not sure exactly how that happened. It seems like each summer goes by so quickly! This summer was no exception! Our summer included our wedding, steamboat days, fairs, mini vacations, the zoo and me being away from my family for a week to attend confirmation camp with my youth. Now that fall is here, school has started again for me. I am taking abnormal psych. & a writing class. If all goes well I will graduate in the spring. This time of year things get pretty busy in our house. Bryan started coaching youth soccer for the fall season. He has two teams both boy teams. Sophie (our dog) is also preparing for the cold season by shedding all of her summer coat- which is a big mess! Every year, spring and fall I think about just shaving her! At work I have started all my fall programing again and things are off to a really good start! With all that is going on I am often overwhelmed but trying to remember to enjoy each day, each moment, and every kiss from Bryan and our Monkey! Happy Fall everyone! And who knows maybe fall will bring more blog post :)

Multitask
As I write this blog tonight I am also enjoying a classic movie with Lillian......Lady and the Tramp. I remember watching this movie when I was a little girl with my sister Kathy. So far Lillian is also a fan....but probably because there are a lot of dogs in this movie and she really likes dogs! What classic childhood movies do you remember and want to share with your children?
I also find it interesting that I can't just sit and watch a movie....I am such a multitasker. I guess it's just the way I have function for so long it's the only way I know how to. Here are some examples of my inability to just relax....
I always work on the computer or do another task while watching a movie
When I do actually sit down to watch a TV show- I get up during almost every commercial to change the laundry or unload the dishwasher, etc.
I keep notes and post its everywhere because when I am doing something I usually think of a thousand other things I need to do too
Meditation is probably something I could never do! When I get a massage I can't keep quite I talk the lady's ear off instead of just laying there and enjoying it!
I know that sometimes multitasking is a necessity but I wish I could or would make myself find a balance.......and have the ability to just relax....

Summer Time
Today I took lil' Miss Lillian to the pool today with our friends Sarah and Bella. We had a great time! The WB pool is free to the public on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5-7pm which is more then enough time for an almost 2 year old. Spending quality time with my daughter is one of the best gifts.....being able to also share some mom time with a good friend and also a mom of a 2 year old girl made it even better!
Lillian was already tired when we left the pool but she found her last little bit of energy to spend playing with her cousins! So now, she is actually a sleep in her bed in her room! This is very exciting for us. Lillian used to have a perfect bedtime routine.... we would read her book kiss her goodnight, and turn on her fish tank. She would then go to sleep in her crib.......that all changed the day she learned how to climb out of her crib! Being first time parents to a now very mobile climber we freaked out! We moved her into (the cutest) toddler bed..........here was the problem she is scared to sleep in the bed...and she knows she can get out...so we did the unthinkable.....yep....bad idea....we let her sleep in our bed! Now we are facing the challenge to get her cute little butt back to sleeping in her own bed in her own room! I attempted this a few nights ago and she slept in her own room for about an hour and then woke up with loads of energy! At midnight I gave up.....she won....fight over! Tonight it looks like my weapons (swimming & cousins) are helping me win the fight- she has been a sleep in her bed for over 2 hours now! Just to be on the safe side I should try and get some sleep without Lillian :)

What's a Hobby?
Today I become a "blogger" let's hope this goes well....I am sure the first few will not be all that exciting but hopefully I will get some profound thoughts or words of wisdom to share with my "followers". I decided to write this blog to document my life as a wife and a mother and also to discover myself again. I think or at least I attempted to name this blog "What's a hobby?" I came to realise I have no idea what my hobby is anymore...before we had Lillian I would say that some of my hobbies were scrap booking, going out with friends, etc. While I think it would be nice to scrapbook again...I can't even sit at the table and make out a list without Lillian's help much less be able to put together a scrapbook page! I did attempt to go out with friends when Lillian was about a year old and while they were all talking about how late they were out drinking the night before and the movies they've seen......all I could think about was how cute Lillian was when she did this or that....needless to say I could not really participate in the girl talk...
So if you are following this blog to stay on top of trends or hear about great movies I've seen- this is not for you- but I can tell you about my favorite shows on Sprout TV or great deals on toddler clothes!
I hope you enjoy reading about my adventures and experiences of being me :)
Today is July 4th- and one of the great things about being me is that I have a great family to spend the holiday with. Bryan and I took Lillian to Morning Sun to go to the parade where we met up with other family members. We then headed to Bryan's brother's house for a BBQ and then back to Morning Sun later on to watch fireworks! There were some vendors at the fireworks and I found and purchased the cutest tutu (pink of coarse) for Lillian- pictures to come! Lillian loved the fireworks and she really liked sparklers! Happy 4th of July everyone and I hope you enjoy this blog :)
